2018 Aboriginal Art Auction
Our annual Aboriginal Art Auction had its genesis in 2013, when the Commonwealth Government cut all funding for Australia's network of Environmental Defenders Offices (EDOs).
After hearing about the funding cuts, three Indigenous artists (and EDONT clients) from the NT Gulf of Carpentaria region, Nancy McDinny, Stewart Hoosan and Jack Green, offered to donate their paintings for the EDONT to sell and raise operational funds.
The annual Aboriginal Art Auction was born. We held our 4th annual event in July 2018.
Proceeds from the art auction are shared between the EDONT and contributing artists and art centres.
This year's art auction has now closed, but you can still view the beautiful art that was for sale here.
Stay tuned for details about our 2019 event.
